College Mentors
Our College Mentors will be one of the unique features of our Wrestling Institute.
Each one of these wrestlers have been selected because of their wrestling expertise
and ability to work effectively with young wrestlers. All of them have achieved
a great degree of success at the high school as well as college level. All are
still actively competing and understand our system of training and instruction.
The Mentors will live and work side by side with the students during their stay
at the Institute. The total number of Mentors will depend on the number of applicants.
Our goal is to maintain a ratio of one staff to 14 students.
After students have been individually evaluated and instructed on specific
techniques, the college mentors will work with them individually as they
break up into small groups. The Mentors will assist and participate in every aspect of the
instruction as well as the training.
We feel that much can be learned when high school wrestlers have an opportunity
to challenge at the next level. The college Mentors will participate
in the live wrestling sessions as well. This will be done in a controlled
manner, with the focus being on correcting mistakes and futher instruction.
